An overall great product, but not always delivered consistently for all cadets. Ground school, single and multi-engine flying completed in NZ, up until CPL. IR then outsourced to another school because of a backlog waiting to complete it in Bournemouth as normal. AQC then completed in Southampton as standard.

Ground school: can’t be faulted. Good instruction but onus is on you to do the work as you would expect.

Flying: instruction can’t be faulted, all taught consistently and to a high standard. This was typically where people suffered delays and inconsistent scheduling though, hence use of other schools for later phases. How long you got delayed seemed to be down to luck so not much you could do if dealt a bad hand. Definitely avoid if you really need a tight schedule for something like money reasons.

AQC/sim work: high standard, felt well prepared for a type rating.

Placement pool: was successful in getting an airline job through the pool, but the positivity around it seemed to reduce the closer we got to finishing the training. A great idea but ties with airlines seemed to have withered before even a mention of CV19, so don’t imagine it is functioning as intended now.

overall I got out of it what I signed up for. But experiences of this place are hugely varied and it is worth noting the NZ centre is temporarily unavailable, so capacity could be harmed.
