I was at DSA (Hradec Kralové, Czech Rep) from end of September to December 2021 to do my CPL and IR-SE courses.
All courses were conducted in a fast and efficient way (some delays but only due to winter weather).
I would like to highlight the following points during my training there :
- Very well organized ATO
- Very friendly and skilled Flight Instructors.
- High aircraft availability (the mecanics team is BIG and they handle everything from refuel to every problem if it should happen (spoiler alert : very rare))
- YOU DON’T PAY TAXI TIME ! Only flight time.
This is one of the biggest pros here. So you will log more time than you pay. For example I have done 5 hours in my CPL and 20 hours in my IR with a C172RG. Paid 25 flight time, logged almost 35 hours. - About the fleet : C150, C172 (SP/RG) and Seneca for MEP. Simple and efficient. Doing my IR with a C172RG taught me a lot.
- Their examiners are approved by some others European CAA such as French CAA (so you don’t need to transfer your licenses, which is a big time saving)
- The atmosphere is pretty good in Czech Rep, prices for daily life is rather low (they don’t use €uros).
